Navl Features

Navl is designed in a way that it can be customized by fluxing a large number of functions, high operating speed and pliant mechanism. It’s successfully tested for almost all available GPS devices & provides a seamless experience. Navl allows different organization from different domains to customize the Out-Of-Box product based on their requirements. Two different modes in “Navl” works as two enablers for this: Administration and Management

The inbuilt monitoring module enables to list down the devices based on the access a user has. To make user's experience easy, a map is available where each device/vehicle is tagged with a particular icon. Grouping of devices is possible to provide a convenient monitoring module. All a user has to do is to place the mouse pointer on the icon of a vehicle & a popup info box will provide detailed information on the current state of the unit (speed, current location, etc.). The icon will be automatically replaced to reflect vehicle’s status i.e. if the vehicle is moving or stationary.

Objects

User interface consists of following features.

a) KML Network Link

This small earth icon is a KML link, before clicking this earth icon please install KML viewer (i.e. World Wind, Google Earth etc.). After installing any of the above KML viewer, click the earth icon and open with the installed KML viewer. Please remember do not close the 'Objects' page as if closed it will stop the auto refresh of KML file.

b) Name/ID

This section contains the name of Vehicle/Object.

c) Date/Time

Last date & time captured data from the GPS unit. All GPS units are set for one minute update.

d) Speed

Speed in kph captured from the GPS unit.

e) Current Location

Every minute GPS device sends Latitude & Longitude to our application server, which is converted into names by our GIS application server i.e. HR06X-9090 vehicle is stationary at Navyani Innovations Inc. (0.013) and it is only 13 meters away from that location.

f) City

City name is captured by our GIS application server.

g) State

State name is captured by our GIS application server.

h) Today

Total km traveled (km calculation is done starting from 00:00 to 23:59) in a day.

i) Fuel Usage

Estimation of fuel usage is calculated on distance traveled in a day. Our driving simulators calculate fuel consumption based on driving habits.

j) Travel Time

Travel time is calculated starting from 00:00 to 23:59 for the current day.

k) Halt Time

This unique feature calculates the current halt time, as soon as the vehicle starts moving the counter is back to 00h 00m 00s

l) T(L)

This is fuel tank left of the vehicle, this feature normally shows '-' dash as it requires a special fuel sensor designed by Navyani. After your login if this column shows '-' dash that means your devices is a basic GPS device which covers all features except 'Fuel In Litres'.

m) T(R)

This is fuel tank right of the vehicle, this feature normally shows '-' dash as it requires a special fuel sensor designed by Navyani. After your login if this column shows '-' dash that means your devices is a basic GPS device which covers all features except 'Fuel In Litres'.

n) Pct

This means Pilferage counts for today. How many times fuel was pilferaged in a day. This feature normally shows '-' dash as it requires a special fuel sensor designed by Navyani. After your login if this column shows '-' dash that means your devices is a basic GPS device which covers all features except 'Fuel In Litres'.

o) Pcm

This means Pilferage counts for this month. How many times fuel was pilferaged this month. This feature normally shows '-' dash as it requires a special fuel sensor designed by Navyani. After your login if this column shows '-' dash that means your devices is a basic GPS device which covers all features except 'Fuel In Litres'.

p) Temp

This means temperature in degree celsius. This feature is helpful for refrigerated truck owners to monitor cabin temperature online. This feature normally shows '-' dash as it requires a special temperature sensor. After your login if this column shows '-' dash that means your devices is a basic GPS device which covers all features except 'Fuel In Litres'.

q) Ignition

It shows the current status of ignition 'ON' or 'OFF'

r) Details

After clicking this link you will find extra features for the corresponding vehicle (i.e. Today's Top Speed, Driver Details, Nearest Vehicle in case of emergency.)

Track

User can view minute-by-minute last 50 days history for each vehicle.

Maps

The system is designed in a way to support different types of maps including Google Map / OpenStreetMap. It allows you to track the different vehicles on the map by drawing point- to- point route vehicle adapted. User is required to create a track based on the vehicle or time. Navl is smart enough to display tracks of different vehicles in different color; this makes the user experience easier.

Reports

Navl offers 5 types of reports (i.e. Parking Report, Track Coordinates, Track Distance & Geonames, Trip Report, Fuel Consumption and Fuel Pilferage History). The reports generated from Navl are mostly based on the timestamps saved in log files. Data required for reporting is pulled from the log files based on the criteria defined in template. This enables the reports to include information on trips, stops, engine running hours, violation of speed limits, and etc. Reports can be customized to specify the minimum duration and maximum mileage for trips or report only on the visited places with parking of certain duration. In addition to manual reporting, automated reports can be created by scheduled jobs & received via email on daily and weekly basis at user registered email-ID.

Inbound

This inbound section is specially designed for those organizations, including: corporations, governments and universities whose vehicles are going daily at the same place multiple times:

  • To pick up raw material from the multiple locations.
  • To deliver goods at multiple locations.
  • To pick up students from multiple locations.
To activate this section you need minimum one 'Home Town' (the place from where the vehicle starts its journey) and one 'Destination Point' (the place where vehicle ends its journey). Once you activate any vehicle in the inbound section and as soon as vehicle starts its journey from the Home Town, you will receive automated email alerts containing the current location, speed, estimated time of arrival and detailed route of the vehicle. After route completion, one history will also be generated under history tab in 'Inbound' section.

Navl provides the user with possibility to track vehicles going along the route with certain checkpoints and a predefined schedule. User has the possibility to define a departing point, checkpoints on the route & an arriving point mentioning the time when a vehicle arrives & leaves the checkpoints.

Outbound

Outbound section is designed for delivery of goods with multiple routing/stops.

This section is slightly different from inbound i.e. User has to define stop-1, 2, 3 etc. for multiple routing of the vehicle. To activate this section you need minimum one 'Home Town' (the place from where the vehicle starts its journey) and one 'Destination Point' (the place where vehicle ends its journey). Once you activate any vehicle in the inbound section and as soon as vehicle starts its journey from the Home Town, you will receive automated email alerts containing the current location, speed, estimated time of arrival and detailed route of the vehicle. After route completion, one history will also be generated under history tab in 'Outbound' section.
